Ref. No. 184/AIB/S/16                                                                          Dt. 17.11.16

To,

Sh. Arun Jaitley,

Hon’ble Minister of Finance,

Government of India,

North Block, New Delhi-110 001.

Sub: Payment of salary for November, 2016 in cashrequest reg.

Sir,

It is submitted with due regards that this Association wholeheartedly welcomes the initiative to curb the excess flow of cash in the economy. But it is further submitted that the measures taken in this regard have placed curbs on the withdrawal of cash as may be required by persons for reasonable purposes.  The Association appreciates the fact that such measures are consistent with the objectives of the scheme but the individuals wanting to transact legitimately are facing a lot of hurdles in view of the restrictions placed on withdrawal of cash.

2. As your goodself is aware, the difficulties being experienced due to the demonetization of Rs.500/- and Rs. 1000/- currency notes may continue for about 50 days as made clear in his speech by the Hon’ble Prime Minister. Accordingly, the Central Government employees are likely to face much problem for getting their salary for this month in time due to work pressure with the banks.

3. In view of the above, it is requested that the salary for the month of November, 2016 at least may kindly be paid in cash to the govt. employees.

Thanking you,

Yours faithfully,

(RAVI MALIK),

Secretary General.

Copy with the request for necessary action to:

1) MOS (R), Department of Revenue, North Block, New Delhi.

2) Revenue Secretary, North Block, New Delhi.

3) The Chairman, CBEC, North Block, New Delhi.

Why we are considering CG employees only, where the private sector employee will go, they are also having families . We should not panic here all the things will go as usual but will take little bit time. We are very happy that our respected Prime Minister has taken a very strong step of demonetization of Rs.500/- and Rs. 1000/- currency notes –
Ab Achhey Din Jaldi Aaney Wali Hain.

  2. Girish says:

The association represents a sizable number of employees of department of Revenue. If this is the case of employees of revenue department, who have a separate service branch of a bank for each of their offices, what should rest of the country do?

  3. Shailendra K. Agarwal says:

.As far as disbursing of salary to central/state/PSUs employees are concerned, it is expected that there will be free flow of cash system. I don’t think so there will be any problem to any one at the end of Nov.2016. We should pray all Bank’s ATMs will be in a full condition to meet everyone’s requirement. Let us hope for the best than worst.

  4. kalpataru says:

It proves that (a) enough cash is not available (b) even central govt employees – who are the drivers of all economic, monetary & fiscal measures, do not want to participate in cash less system (c) CG employees don’t have objection for currency notes of higher denomination

  5. Vikas Dhameja says:

Why only Government employees, Private employees have not come for MARS. They are also going through the same hardship as Govt. Employees. Exception should be for all, if at all it is given.
