My son has acquired foreign nationality and is residing abroad. his PAN under International Tax Jurisdiction. Pan data base has his citizenship and address. His residential status in eportal is non resident. How Tax Office will know that he is exempt from linking aadhar with Pan. He is receiving mails for Pan Aadhar linking. What if his Pan is cancelled ?

  2. Bharati Saxena says:

An NRI is not required to have aadhar card and hence linking is also not required but how will tax department know that he is NRI. Pan database only has citizenship flag. I am getting mails for linking even though my jurisdiction is under international taxation ward. If my PAN is cancelled what is the remedy?
