The President is pleased to extend the ad-hoc appointments in respect of the following officers to the grade of Joint Commissioner of Income Tax (JCIT) for a period of six months w.e.f. 01.01.2022 till 30.06.2022 or till their joining to the grade of JCIT on regular basis or till the date of their retirement, whichever is the earliest: –

2. The Competent Authority has decided not to extend the term of ad-hoc appointments in respect of following IRS officers of 2011 Batch to the post of JCIT and to revert these officers to their substantive post i.e. Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax with effect from 01.07.2022 –

However, approval for continuation of term of their ad-hoc appointment to the grade of JCIT is conveyed for the period from 01.01.2022 to till the date of their reversion to the post of DCIT i.e. 30.06.2022 as they have discharged the duties of JCIT on ad-hoc basis due to administrative necessity.
3. These promotions are intended to be purely on ad-hoc nature subject to the following conditions: –
(i) Such appointments shall not confer any right to the officers for continued officiating or seniority or for regular promotion and shall be governed by the instructions of DOP&T as contained in OM No. 28036/8/87-Estt.(D) dated 30.03.1988 and instructions issued by Government from time to time;
(ii) These appointments will not confer any right or equity in favour of the appointees.
