No Extension of Date for Filing of Returns due by 30th September for Assessment Year 2015-16 for Certain Categories of Assessees Including Companies, and Firms and, Individuals Engaged in Proprietary Business/Profession etc whose Accounts are required to be Audited; Taxpayers are Advised to file their Returns Well in Time to Avoid Last Minute Rush
Income-tax returns for Assessment Year 2015-16 for certain categories of assessees viz companies, firms and individuals engaged in proprietary business/profession etc whose accounts are required to be audited, are to be filed by 30th September, 2015. The audit report is also required to be filed by the said date.
The Government has received representations from various stakeholders seeking extension of date for filing of returns and tax audit reports beyond 30th September 2015. The reasons cited are delay in notifying the returns and related delay in availability of forms on the e-filing website.
The matter has been considered. Income-Tax Returns Forms 3,4,5,6 and 7 which are used by the above mentioned categories of assessees were notified for Assessment Year 2015-16 on 29.07.2015. The forms were e-enabled and were available on the e-filing website of the Department from 7th August 2015 giving enough time for compliance. The changes made to these forms are not extensive as compared to the earlier years. Further taxpayers entering into either international transactions or specified domestic transactions are required to file their returns by 30th November 2015 only.
After consideration of all facts, it has been decided that the last date for filing of returns due by 30th September 2015 will not be extended. Taxpayers are advised to file their returns well in time to avoid last minute rush.
14/09/2015 New Content from INCOME TAX WEBSITE:
It has been decided not to extend the “due date” for e-Filing of returns due by 30th September 2015 for AY 2015-16. Taxpayers are advised to file their returns well in time to avoid last minute rush. Please see Press Release of Ministry of Finance.

The West Bengal Government recently increased the vat audit limit from Rs.FIVE Crores to TEN Crores.
The dealers with annual turnover of less than Rs.5 crore are required to file a self-audit statement. Now proposes to do away with filing of self-audit statement by dealers with an annual turnover of less than Rs.10 crore,” said Mitra.Like wise
CBDT and Finance Ministry must increase the tax Audit u/s.44AB to RS.TEN crores
with a condition that the assessee must file self audit statement. This will definetely reduce the work load of Chartered Accountants
It is very difficult to accomplish the quality work in 20 days time. Please extend the due date.

Any Further Improvement from ICAI side
Dear Sir,
Please extend the Tax Audit Filing Returns for A/y 2015-16 to 30th November, 2015. Kindly do the needful and oblige
ICAI should show the its power now, by boycotting the decision of CBDT and directing its members to file the returns till Nov 30. Show ur power ICAI.
the date should be extended to 30th november for the smooth and efficient audit process. also many festivals are in this months, Eid ul Adha , and other festivals throughout India… but CBDT is acting harsh…
Chartered Accountants are not like Robots audit will complete in 20 days pls extend due date
Don’t understand why ICAI not opposing strongly ? Each & every time CBDT shows ICAI not strong enough to oppose that’s why CBDT extend date in last 24-48 hrs but by doing that there are so many cases of Error in ITR Filing due to that & than again we have to correct it.
On one hand govt want to make ease of Business & Profession in India, n CBDT want to harass Taxpayers & CAs. If CBDT so keen than who stop them to upload ITR & other guidelines like Aadhar seeding, All Bank Details etc before 31.03.2015.
earlier forms were available anytime. So 180 days are available to complete the audit and scrutiny’s are also less. So, now also 180 days should have been available from date of availability of forms. This is not at-all fair from govt. And scrutiny’s have also increased.
It is litarally not possible to complete the task in such a short span of time. Also the site is creating problem many a times. Does govt thinks that all CA have only one audit to compile ?
This means govt wants the assessee to make the mistake while filing the form and then collect the penalty.
all the extension were given to govt companies. Why not to others. Why this discrimination. Why they do not treat all at equal length.
They can make the delay and wont extend the time also. This is like a gundagardi. I feel our freternity should boy-cott such a move of govt. There should be a neutral agency to extend the time, why govt., who dont listen to practical problems.
Do ther employee’s work in timely manner. I bet if any of their person complete one audit in time with all proper answers.
Govt is behaving in unpractical way.
What to do ???????????????????
Kindly file PIL…………..
It is request to extend the date by two months becaiuse now thr is Jain Clients festival and than ganesh festival and clients r busy in all these. also It is not posible to conduct quality audit in short span of time. extend by two months
It is unfair that due date for non audit returns is extended till 07/09/2015 but no extension is given for tax audit returns. To get the tax audit done in remaining 20 days is almost impossible task. The ITR forms were notifued late by Govt. but Govt. is penalizing CAs and assessees for the same. Date should be extended to at least 30/11/2015
Please extened tax audit date
dear sir please due date for tax audit extend not possible within 20 days

Request to extend the due date by another two months, since it is very difficult to complete with in the short span of time provided by CBDT
IN THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER GANESH FESTIVAL ARRIVES AND IN MAHARASHTRA MOST OF ASSESSEE ENGAGED IN GANESH FESTIVAL AND IT WILL CONTINUED UPTO 27TH OF SEPT ONLY THREE DAYS WILL LEFT FOR ASSESSEE TO COMPLY THE TAX AUDIT REPORT…. THINK ON THAT…. KINDLY EXTEND THE DATE UPTO 31ST OF OCTOBER 2015

EXTEND THE DUE DATE BY 30.11.2015
its wrong notification without knowing realities of ca,s office,s way of working. when due date fr 31st july non audit returns filing enhanced to 30th august . than ca,s were engaged in complying the 31august + 7september expended date because all non audit clients come considering that date 31august. so actual time for working remain only 23days for audit clients. 31st july extension date was never demanded by ICAI their is no penalty for delay in filing their of but extended by Govt but theirs penalty for not filing audit returns on time. A suitable gap between 7th August & at least 1 month extension is need of the hour, otherwise its not good governance at all.

see all previous year record due date always entended by govt so pls keep patient
Government when there is no much change has taken 5 months to notifiy the forms and it expects public to comply within 45 days. How government expect this. There are festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi Dassera etc. and how to comply with this. Then why not notify forms earlier. Why it require 4/5 months time to notify forms. This is unfair. And must extend the due date at least upto 31.12.2015 as minimum 6 months from the end of financial year are given for filing and therefore minimum 6 months from the date of notification of forms are required to be given. It is a right of the assesse.

Penalise those officers who provided return forms late.
Penalise those officer who extended date of filing return for non audit cases.
Don’t penalise CA’s and businessmen.
Why a CA should work day night for failure of CBDT ?
