Respected Sir/Madam,
1. Kindly refer to the above mentioned subject. In this regard a list containing details of Self Assessment defaulters for AY 2013-14 and 2014-15 has been uploaded on itaxnet on the following path :
Resources -> Downloads-> lTD Instructions-> SAT unpaid in returns exceed Rs 5 Lakh for AYs 13-14 and 14-15
2. The total Self Assessment Tax unpaid in such cases is Rs 5,059 Cr. The summary of the cases where SAT not paid in the return filed is Rs.> 5 lakhs is as under:
A.Y. | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6 | 7 | 4S | Grand Total |
2013 | 109 | 72 | 61 | 471 | 171 | 521 | 15 | 10 | 1430 |

Yours faithfully,

It may be that SAT payers might have been living alone and died and no body to inform IT authorities about their death
