Roadmap to E-Invoicing for B2B Suppliers

♣ E-Invoicing made mandatory for Registered Person having Aggregate Turnover more than 100 crore rupees in a year.

♣ Turnover of current F.Y. shall be consider.

♣ Provision shall come into effect from 1st Oct 2020.

A new refined format of e-invoice has been notified by CBIC adding 20 new fields and removing 13 fields. Certain fields have undergone changes in character length as well.

Roadmap to Dynamic QR code on Invoices for B2C Suppliers

Notification No. 14/2020 dated 21st Mar 2020

  • Dynamic Quick Response (QR) code made mandatory for Registered Person having B2C supply and Aggregate Turnover more than 500 crore rupees in a year.
  • Turnover of current F.Y. shall be consider.
  • Provision shall come into effect from 1st Oct 2020.

Notification No. 71/2020 dated 30th Sep 2020

  • Amendment in original notification no. 14/2020 to change determination of turnover from current F.Y. to turnover of any preceding F.Y from 2017-18 onwards.
  • Applicability of Provision extended from 1st Oct 2020 to 1st Dec 2020.

Notification No. 89/2020 dated 29th Nov 2020

  • Waiver of Penalty Provisions in case of non compliance for B2C suppliers for the period Dec – Mar 2021.
  • Provided the supplier complies with the provision from 1st April 2021 mandatorily
