CGST Department have detected a case of default in GST payment  and there was a noticeable difference in declared liability in two returns prescribed in CGST Act,2017 namely GSTR-1 and in GSTR-3B worth Rs. 67 Crores.

The CGST Department, Vadodara Zone have undertaken a drive to recover Govt. dues from the assesses who have defaulted in payment of GST

The officers of Daman Commssionerate have detected a case of default in GST payment against Mrs Radha Madhav Corporation Limited which had stepped filing return since August 2018 and there was a noticeable difference in declared liability in two returns prescribed in CGST Act,2017 namely GSTR-1 and in GSTR-3B worth Rs. 67 Crores. The Officers of CGST Daman visited the premises of the Taxpayer and on pursuance the Taxpayer paid Rs 13.83 Crores in cash and Rs 6.33 Crores in ITC Credit total amounting to Rs 20.16 Crores on the spot and also tiled the GSTR-3B for August and September 2018.

Similar action in all such cases is also being taken by all other CGST Commissionerate to mop up the revenue as a special drive.
