    PPF account of minor daughters:
I want to change the guardian name from child’s father to mine as after divorce, I am the guardian. Bank says it cannot be done as per rules. Since the children live with me after legal divorce, the guardian name must be changed.

  3. Sugyan Prakasha Swain says:

Good and appreciate the communication. One doubt, if you clarifies I will be grateful to you. I have opend a ppf a/c wef July199. Further maturity I have extend this a/c next five years, which have matured. Can I further extend up to next five years by applying Form H. kindly guide me accordingly. From Odisha, Cuttack.

  4. KANNAN, R says:

SBI refuse to extend beyond 30 years for the deposit opened in March, 1990, as it is covered under PPFAct 1968. Is it valid? Whether the rules 2019 permit such extension of deposits completing 30 years as on 31.3.2020?

  5. V R RAO says:

PPF account opened in 2016. The account holder has migrated to Canada in 2019. Can the depositor close the account which is allowed as per PPF Scheme, 2019.

  6. m g raman says:

The silver lining is that those who have opened or extended the ppf a/c on or before 11.12.19 will continue to get 8.1 % interest till maturity of their deposit since ” except as respects things done and omitted to be done before such rescission.” . however no deposits may be made in the a/c after that date & hence new deposit may hv to be opended under the 2019 scheme for tax benefit. however deposits made upto 11.12.19 should be eligible for tax exemption unde 80c section.
