The Ministry of Finance, through Notification No. 75/2025-Customs (N.T.) dated 28 November 2025, amended the long-standing 2001 tariff value notification by substituting new Tables 1, 2 and 3 under Section 14(2) of the Customs Act, 1962. The revised tariff values, effective from 29 November 2025, update customs valuation for key commodities including crude and refined palm oil, palmolein, crude soybean oil, brass scrap, gold, silver, and areca nuts. Table-1 prescribes new per-metric-tonne values for various edible oils and brass scrap, while Table-2 revises tariff values for gold and silver—both under concessional notification entries and general imports—expressed per 10 grams or per kilogram. Table-3 maintains the existing tariff value for areca nuts with no change. This notification ensures updated reference prices for duty calculation, aligning customs valuation with prevailing market conditions. It also references earlier amendments, including Notification No. 74/2025 issued on 14 November 2025.
