Trade License is a state government permission for a business to run in the state. The state government has given authority to every district to issue the license through Municipal Corporation.

It is basically checking that all the compliance of the Act (The Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994) has been fulfilled to run the business.

In Haryana, Trade License has been divided into various categories included but not limited to License to run the factory, Premises not to be used for certain purposes, Eating houses, Stalls, Butchers, Fishmonger’s, pouter’s, and etc.

Trade License is mandatory for every business establishment. Running the business without this license may be penalized by the department or seized the business premises by the department.

There is various section under the act in which license is required, even though it’s not required for this article but writing the same for reference. Sections are 330, 331, 334, 335, 336, etc.

Commissioner may seize the property under this act if someone is not having the appropriate license.
