Madam/ Sir,
I am directed to refer to the subject mentioned above and to say that during the meeting of representatives of ITGOA and ITEF under the Chairmanship of Chairman, CBDT, held on 27.05.2017, one of the Issues discussed was ‘adhoc’ promotion on functional basis against the vacancies arising after promotion to Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax for vacancy year 2014-15 & 2015-16
2 The issue was deliberated upon and It was Informed that adhoc promotion against vacancies arising after promotion to ACslT can be decided by Principal Chief Commissioners of Income Tax (CCA) concerned if the functional requirement exists The Pr CCs lT are, therefore, suggested to take appropriate decision on the issue keeping In view the instructions of Department of Personnel & Training on this matter
