ICSI Unique Document Identification Number (UDIN) Guidelines, 2019 was amended by the Council meeting held on 13th July, 2020. The amendments shall be effective from 01st September, 2020.
As per the Latest amendments, it is now mandatory to Generate UDIN in respect of the following also:
1. Certification of Annual Return in Form MGT – 7 under Section 92 (1) of the Companies Act, 2013 and Rule 11 (1) of the Companies (Management and Administration) Rules, 2014.
2. Compliance Certificate regarding compliance of conditions of Corporate Governance as prescribed under the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regualtions, 2015.
Q1. Whether UDIN can be generated for MGT-7 for previous years say 2016-17?
Q2. If MGT-7 has been filed after 1st Sep 2020 without generating UDIN then what can be done?
