In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 1.1, 2.1, 2.4 and 2.29 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Central Government in partial modification of this Department’s Notification No. 12/(2004-2009) dated 21.12.2004 hereby notifies that the provisions contained therein shall come into effect from 1st June,2005.
Requests have been received for including branch offices of Inspection agencies which are already registered under Appendix 28 of the Handbook of Procedures as inspection agencies for issuing pre-shipment inspection certificate for import of metal scrap.
In execise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Handbook of Procedures.
The consignment does not contain any type of arms, ammunition, mines, shells, cartridges, radio active contaminated or any other explosive material in any form either used or otherwise.

In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09 , the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby announces All Industry Rate of Duty Drawback of Rs. 1050/- per MT for furnace oil supplied by domestic oil companies to EOU/SEZ units under various schemes as contained in Chapters 6, 7 and 8 of the Foreign Trade Policy until further orders.
Value Addition -Under the scheme for export of jewellery, the value addition shall be calculated with reference to the CIF value of gold/ silver/ platinum which shall be equivalent to the total outflow of foreign exchange on account of gold/ silver/platinum content in the export product plus the admissible wastage. Wherever gold on loan basis has been given, the CIF value shall also include interest paid in free foreign exchange to the foreign supplier.
In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Handbook of Procedures.
The condition stipulated at Sl.No.16 of Chapter I A (General Notes to Import Policy) to Schedule –I of the ITC (HS) Classifications of Export and Import items 2004-2009 shall remain in force for a further period of six months from the date of publication of this notification or till such time it is modified or withdrawn, whichever is earlier.
In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) read with Paragraph 2.1 and 2.29 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-2009 as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Notification No.20 /( 2004-2009) dated 28.1.2005.
