Requests have been received from various stakeholders for extension of the date of mandatory issuance and transmission of electronic BRC’s on account of lack of readiness. Accordingly, it has been decided that existing system of physical BRC issuance from bank may be continued further for a period up to 16.08.2012 for smooth transition.
Notification No. 6 (RE-2012) /2009-2014 In exercise of the powers conferred by Section 5 read with Section 3(2) of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No.22 of 1992) and also read with Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government hereby deletes the entry at Point (ii) in the “Nature of Restriction” column [Column No. 6 of the table] against Sl. No. 57 in Chapter 10 of Schedule 2 of ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items relating to Basmati rice.
Notification No. 5 (RE-2012)/2009-2014 Export of Handmade Woolen Carpets, Handicraft items and Silk items etc. (details given above) shall not be permitted on the basis of Documents against Acceptance (D/A) except when covered by (a) Guarantee from Bank or ECGC or (b) made to own Subsidiaries etc.
Prohibition on import of milk and milk products (including chocolates and chocolate products and candies/ confectionary/ food preparations with milk or milk solids as an ingredient) from China is further extended till 23.6.2013 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
In exercise of powers conferred by Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 (No. 22 of 1992) read with Para 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Central Government amends para 2 of Notification No.116(RE-2010)/2009-14 dated 08.05.2012 with immediate effect .
Note: Export of product listed in Table 1 & Table 2 above through any of the Land Custom Stations (LCSs) situated in the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura and Sikkim shall be entitled for additional Duty Credit Scrip @ 1% of FOB value.
In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby notifies the Handbook of Procedures- Volume I (Appendices and Aayat Niryat Forms). This shall come into force with immediate effect, except Appendix 37A, 37C and 37D which will be deemed to have come into effect on 5th June, 2012.
Uploading of BRC data by banks can be done at any time and it should be electronically transmitted on a daily basis. Electronic issuance of BRC has started with effect from 05.06.2012. Physical submission of BRC would continue concurrently for one month from 05.06.2012. BRCs which have been issued manually after 01.04.2012 shall be converted in the digital (XML) format by the banks and uploaded on DGFT server.
In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014 and Paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby amends the description of import item Tonsil Bleaching Earth appearing at Serial No.2 of SION E-125 under Food Product Group to read as Activated Bleaching Earth.
Entry Number 38 in the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export & Import Items has been bifurcated and an entry number 38.01(new entry) Skimmed Milk Powder is introduced. Export of new entry namely Skimmed Milk Powder has been made free.
