However, the above procedure at 2. I and II, regarding testing of Textiles and Textile Articles for presence of Azo Dyes, will not be applicable for imports originating from the countries as listed in Appendix-2X, where the use of Azo Dyes in Textiles and Textile Articles is banned.
The Appendix–2X is being introduced in the Appendix and Ayat Niryat Forms of FTP 2015 -20 listing the countries where from import of Textiles and Textile Articles is exempted from testing of samples for presence of Azo Dyes.
Importer Exporter Code IEC Code is unique 10 digit code issued by DGFT – Director General of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. As per the Foreign Trade Policy no import or export shall be made by any person without obtaining an IEC unless specifically exempted.
It is clarified that the provisions of Para 5.10(d) of HBP 2015-20 Shall be applicable to third party exports made on or after 01.04.2015 (even in respect of exports made under EPCG authorisations issued prior to 01.04.2015). Third party exports which have been made prior to 01.04.2015 will be governed by the provisions of relevant policy/procedure).
An enabling provision has been incorporated in paragraph (7) of Appendix 6-B of Appendices and Aayat Niryat Forms of FTP 2015-20 so as to enable the Board of Approval to consider and decide the cases for extension of Letter of Permission of existing EOUs.
Importer Exporter Code(IEC) holders having units in SEZs /EOUs shall apply to the concerned Development Commissioner of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) given in appendix 1A for availing benefit under Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) and Service Exports from India Scheme (SEIS) provided in FTP 2015-2020.
Export of onion for the item description at Serial Number 51 & 52 of Chapter 7 of Schedule 2 of ITC (HS) Classification of Export & Import Items shall be permitted subject to a Minimum Export Price (MEP) of US$ 700 F.O.B. per Metric Ton or as notified by DGFT from time-to-time.
Due to some technical reasons, the MEIS/ SEIS licence cannot be registered in the EDI system (ICES 1.5v). Until the EDI module of the MEIS/SEIS scheme is operationalised, following procedure is prescribed for the Manual Registration of Duty Credit Scrips issued under Merchandise Exports from India Scheme (MEIS) and Service Exports from India Scheme (SEIS):
