As per amendment referred in para 2, benefit of zero duty import is available only for such Mega Power Project, specified in List 32A, appended to Notification No.49/2012-Customs, so certified by an officer, not below the rank of Joint Secretary to the Government of India, in the Ministry of Power before 19th day of July, 2012. Only 111 Mega Power Projects have been included in list 32A of Notification No.49/2012-Customs dated 10.09.2012.
Export of above processed and/or value added agricultural products will be exempted from any restriction / ban even in the event of restriction / ban on the export of basic farm produce.
Declaration of Intent for claiming benefit under Chapter 3 of Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) was made mandatory for all categories of shipping bills through Public Notice No. 82 dated 16.8.2010. This stipulation was to take effect from 01.01.2011.
ITC HS Codes of the certain items were re-notified vide DGFT Notification No.94 (RE-2008)/2004-2009 dated 02.03.2009. The corresponding entries in Appendix 37A and Appendix 37D were accordingly not modified.
Central Government hereby amends with immediate effect Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014 (RE 2012) and introduces a new para 4A.16A for setting up of Private/Public Bonded Warehouses for Gems and Jewellery sector.
Application for status recognition shall be filed with jurisdictional RA / Development Commissioner (DC). However, in cases where export performance of EOUs / SEZs is clubbed together with company /firm / Group Company in DTA, the same will be considered by jurisdictional RA of DGFT only. EHTPs and STPs shall file an application of Status Recognition with concerned jurisdictional RA.
Export of Pharmaceutical Grade Sugar [(i) Sucrose IP/BP/EP/USP/JP and (ii) Sucrose AR & LR] and Specialty Sugar [(i) Sugar cubes (ii) Sugar sachets (white & brown) (iii) Castor sugar (iv) Demerara sugar (v) Light brown sugar (vi) Icing sugar (vii) Fondant icing sugar (viii) Kathali sugar (ix) Candy sugar (x) Rainbow sugar (xi) Pearl sugar and (xii) Trimoline (invert sugar)] would not be subject to registration requirement.
In respect of export of cotton, RC holders have been given 30 days time to export. In view of the congestion at Wagah such exporters of cotton to Pakistan are permitted to (a) seek one time extension in the validity period of the RC for a maximum period of 30 days, or (b) surrender of un-utilized or partially utilized RC to the concerned RA without inviting penalty. This dispensation is available only for such exporters of cotton who have obtained RC to export to Pakistan.
Since, export of non-basmati rice has been made free with effect from 09.09.2011 it has been decided to withdraw with immediate effect both the policy circulars mentioned in Para 1 above namely Policy Circular No. 33 (RE-2008) 2004-09 dated 30.09. 2008 and Policy Circular No. 28/2009-14 dated 31.03.2010.
In exercise of powers conferred under Section 5 of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992 read with paragraph 2.1 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014, as amended from time to time, the Central Government hereby notifies the following amendment in the Foreign Trade Policy, 2009-2014.
