First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975), when imported into India for the purpose of organising the Common Wealth Games, 2010(hereinafter referred as Games), from the whole of the duty of customs leviable thereon which is specified in the said First Schedule and from the whole of the additional duty leviable thereon under section 3 of the said Customs Tariff Act, subject to the conditions specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the said Table.
Whereas, in the matter of imports of Bus and Truck Radial Tyres, (hereinafter referred to as the subject goods) , falling under item nos. 40112010 (for tyres) and 40131020 and 40129049 (for tubes and flaps respectively) of the First Schedule to the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 (51 of 1975) and originating in, or exported from the People’s Republic of China(China PR) and Thailand (hereinafter referred to as the subject countries),
the Central Government hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue), No. 114/2009-Customs, dated the 1st October, 2009, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (i), vide number G.S.R.720 (E), dated the 1st October, 2009, except as respect things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.

Reference is invited to the Board’s Circular No.15/99-Customs dated 22.3.1999, whereby the facility of carriage of domestic cargo between domestic airports on international flights was extended to M/s. Air India. In this regard, the Board had received certain requests for providing such a facility by other private airlines also.
