NOTIFICATION No. 01/2017-S.C. (PB)

New Delhi, the 9th May, 2017

G.S.R. 447(E).– In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (4) of Section 32-I of the Central Excise Act, 1944 (1 of 1944) and sub-section (4) of section 127 F of the Customs Act, 1962 ( 52 of 1962), the Customs, Central Excise & Service Tax Settlement Commission hereby makes the following further rules to amend the Customs and Central Excise Settlement Commission Procedure, 2007 namely :-

1.  (1) These rules may be called the Customs and Central Excise Settlement Commission (Amendment) Procedure, 2017.

(2) It shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

2.   In the Customs and Central Excise Settlement Commission Procedure, 2007, for the rule 15 of the said Procedure, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

“15, Publication of Orders:- The orders of the Commission as are deemed fit for publication, in any authoritative report or by the press, may be released for such publication, on such terms and conditions as the Commission may lay down.”.
