Notification No. 3 (RE-99) 1997-2002, Dated: 06.04.1999

Notification No. 3 (RE-99) dated 6th April 1999 amends the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items for 1997-2002. The amendment modifies the import conditions under column 5 for certain items. It states that imports of “Other” items under code 690790 00 are allowed with a Special Import Licence (SIL), provided the C.I.F. value is US $25 per square meter or higher. Similarly, imports of ceramic mosaic tiles under code 690890 02 are permitted with an SIL, provided the C.I.F. value is US $15 per square meter or more. These changes clarify the conditions for importing specific goods under the Export and Import Policy.
