Last Date for Allotment of Director’s Identification Number (DIN) Under Companies Act, 1956 Further Extended – Last date for filing form DIN-4 by DIN holders for furnishing their Income tax PAN and to update Income- tax PAN details has been extended up to 29th February, 2012. For details kindly see General Circular No: 70/2011 (G0iven below).
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs has further extended the last date for filing DIN-4 by DIN holders for furnishing the PAN and to update PAN details upto 29.02.2012 for the Allotment of Director’s Identification Number (DIN) under Companies Act, 1956.
Accordingly, the establishments like the ICAI/ICWAI/ICSI/All Chamber of Commerce have been asked to give wide publicity in this regard. The existing DIN holders will also be informed to furnish their PAN by filing form DIN-4 by 29.02.2012 to avoid penal action through e-mail and sms.
Earlier the last date were extended on 4th October, 2011.
It may be noted that a General Circular issued by the ministry on 31.05.2011 said that with effect from 12th June, 2011, all DIN-1 & DIN-4 applications were to be digitally signed by the practicing Chartered Accountants, Company Secretaries or Cost Accountants who shall also verify the particulars of the applicant given in the applications. All these applications will be approved online.
