Uttar Pradesh VAT notification enhancing the rates of additional tax
1. The Uttar Pradesh Government has issued a notification (Notification No. KA.NI.-2-246/XI-9(10)/08-U.P. Act-30-07-Order-(56)-2010 dated 19 February 2010 ) enhancing the rates of additional tax as mentioned below. The new rates are effective 19 February 2010.

2. Uttar Pradesh Entry Tax notification exempting certain goods from tax:-
The Uttar Pradesh Government has issued a notification (Notification No. KA.NI.-2-307/XI-9(10)/08-U.P.Act-5-2008-Order-(57 )-2010 dated 19 February 2010) exempting the following goods from entry tax effective 19 February 2010:
- Natural gas
- Cement
- All types of motor vehicles including chassis thereof, but excluding tractors
- Specified categories of tyres and tubes

It means there is no additional tax @1% on the item/unclassified as per sch V.
It means that there is no additional tax @1% on unclassified goods
sch V of the act.
