Attention of all the Importers, Customs Brokers, Logistics Service Provider, Custodian /Terminal Operator, Warehouse Operator and the member of the Trade is invited to the Board’s Circular No. 33/2016-Customs dated 22.07.2016 and subsequent Public Notice No. 105/2016 dated 27.07.2016, 108/2016 dated 09.08.2016 and 113/2016 dated 24.08.2016 issued by this office; on the above mentioned subject.
Seven Pre-Shipment inspection Agencies have been approved under the heading New PSIAs recognized in terms of FTP 2015-20 in Appendix 2G.
For many purposes like registration of licence, provisional release of consignments, to get exemption benefit etc. , Customs is required to verify and confirm legitimacy of Bank Guarantee/Certificate/LUT issued with issuing Bank/concerned Central Excise authority /issuing authority etc. In most of the cases, officers are verifying the veracity of these documents with concerned authority either by post or by fax. However, it is seen that in most of the offices, officers do not have fax facility and verification through speed post takes longer time for verification.
FTP- Kuth Root having ITC-HS Code 12119046 appearing at Sl. No. 506 of Appendix 3B of MEIS schedule is deleted.
Amendment in Annexure III and Annexure IV to Appendix -6E [Format for Quarterly Report for the Working Units and Format for Annual Progress Report for the Working Units] as contained in the Appendices and Aayat Niryat Forms of FTP 2015-20–reg.
The product description in the MEIS Schedules has been corrected in line with ITC (HS). Changes in product description are deemed to have been applicable from the initial dates on which the above products were included in the MEIS Schedules
