Import consignments of above mentioned seconds/defectives of steel items shall be accompanied by a pre shipment certificate regarding description of material, material quality, chemical analysis of the material, visual inspection, thickness and width of material and the ITC (HS) Code No. from any of the inspection agency as specified in Appendix 32A of the Hand Book of Procedures, Vol..I ,1997-2002, as amended from time to time .
The Rupee amount rounded off to the nearest one rupee as intimated by Aid Accounts & Audit Division, Department of Economics Affairs should be deposited with interest as applicable, to the account of CAA&A, DEA, Ministry of Finance with the RBI, New Delhi or State Bank of India, Tis Hazari, Delhi through Challan and a copy of receipted challan should be sent to the Aid Accounts and Audit Division, Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, ‘B’ Wing, Vth Floor, Janpath Bhavan, New Delhi-110 001.
Attention is invited to Paragraph 4.11. of the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, as amended and Paragraphs 7.8 and 7.10 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, 1997-2002, as amended and also to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 1997-2002, as amended from time to time.

In exercise of powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002, as notified in the Gazette of India extraordinary, Part-II-Section 3 – Sub- section (ii) vide S.O.No.283(E) dated 31.3.97, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendment in Handbook (Vol.1). (RE-00), 1997-2002.
Products approved for manufacture in and export or trading from the respective free Trade Zones/Export Processing Zones/Special Economic Zones and Export Oriented Units, except textile item covered by bilateral agreements, exports to Rupee Payment countries under the Annual Trade Protocol and Exports against payment in Indian Rupees to former Rupee payment countries.
The import of components shall be permitted on net to net basis with accountability clause and the type, technical specifications (including part No., if any), etc., of the components sought for import should conform to those utilised in the manufacture of the resultant product, which should be reflected in the export documents (shipping bills) also.

I/We will abide by any other condition which may be stipulated by the concerned Development Commissioner of Secretariat of Industrial Approvals(Deptt. of Industrial Policy and Promotion). I/We fully understand that any Permission Letter granted to me/us on the basis of the statement furnished is liable to cancellation or any other action that may be taken having regard to the circumstances of the case if it is found that any of the statements or facts therein are incorrect or false.
In the statement of Standard Input Output Norms as contained in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 1997-2002, as amended, amendments/ corrections at appropriate places as mentioned in Annexure “A” to this Public Notice shall be made.
