1. (1) These regulations may be called the Courier Imports and Exports (Clearance) Amendment Regulations, 2017. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
CBEC, hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 62/94 –Customs (N.T), dated the 21stNovember, 1994, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, vide number S.O. 829 (E), dated the 21stNovember, 1994, namely:-

Notification No. 11/2017-CUSTOMS (N.T.) -Tariff value Notification in respect of Fixation of tariff Value of Edible Oils, Brass Scrap, Poppy Seeds, Areca Nut, Gold and Sliver
Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby invests in the officers specified in column (1) of the Table below, the powers of the Customs Officer of the rank specified in column (2) of the said Table,
Central Board of Excise and Customs hereby determines rate of exchange of conversion of each of foreign currencies with effect from 03rd February, 2017.
Provided that the period specified in this sub-rule may, on sufficient cause being shown and reasons to be recorded in writing, be extended by an authority next higher than the authority before whom the application for remission of duty is pending, for a further period not exceeding six months.
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excise Act,1944 (1 of 1944) and section 94 of the Finance Act, 1994 (32 of 1994), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules further to amend the CENVAT Credit Rules, 2004, namely
