A new Appendix IV to Schedule I of ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items, 2002-2007, will be appended. This Appendix IV will contain a list of countries which are parties to the “Montreal Protocol on substances that deplete the Ozone layer”. This is with reference to Licensing note of Chapter 29 in ITC (HS) Classification of Export and Import Items, 2002-2007.
In this regard, it is stated that the issue has been examined in consultation with the Ministry of Textiles and in view of the comments made available it is hereby clarified that the imports of the following items of textile are exempted from the condition of production of pre-shipment certificate.

Public Notice No. 5/2002-2007 updates the Indian Rupee value for deferred payment contracts under agreements with the USSR for machinery and equipment deliveries.
Where supplies in respect of contracts, as contained in Para 3(i ) & (ii ) above have already been completed on the date of issue of this Public Notice, such contracts shall not be eligible for grant of Advance licence for deemed export unless such licence had already been applied for prior to effecting the aforesaid supplies.
In continuation of Notification No. 50 (RE-2001)/1997-2002 dated the 22nd March , 2002, and Notification No.7 dated 12th April, 2002 and Public Notice No.8 dated 19th April,2002 releasing thereby the quantity of 2 Lakh MTs. , 1 Lakh MTs. and 6 Lakh MTs. of onion for export up to 31st March,2003 respectively the Director General of Foreign Trade has now decided that unutilised balance quantity of onions released under the above notifications shall be allowed for export upto 30th June, 2003.

Export of canned meat products shall be subject to preshipment inspection either by the State Directorate of Animal Husbandry or Export Inspection Agency or Directorate of Marketing and Inspection Government of India in accordance with either the standards prevalent in the exporting country or standards prescribed under the Meat Food Products Order, 1973 of Export (Quality Control and Inspection) Act, 1963 or orders made thereunder.
