Subject- ITBA- ITR Processing Module- Enablement of functionality for Processing of (1) Paper Returns for A.Y. 2018-19- (2) e-filed returns pushed by CPC to Assessing Officer-regarding

The functionalities of processing of paper returns as well as e-filed returns pushed to Assessing Officer by CPC is functional in ITBA for AY 2016-17 & 2017-18. The same were communicated to field formations vide ITBA-ITR Processing Instruction No.1 dated 30.03.2017; Instruction No 2 dated 08.11.2017; and Instruction No 3 dated 08.11.2017. Further functionality of withholding of refunds as per provision of section 241A and prima-facie adjustment under 143(1)(a) were also intimated vide ITBA Processing Instruction No 5 dated 14.12.2018 and Instruction No 6 dated 20.02.2019 respectively.

2. The functionality of processing of paper returns and c-filed returns pushed to AO by CPC-ITR for AY 2018-19(ITR 1 &4S) is now made available in the ITBA. The functionality to process rest of ITRs is under development and will be made available shortly. The field formations will be informed as and when the functionalities are deployed in system.The process of data entry, processing of returns as well as withholding refunds remain same as per extant instructions mentioned above.

3. The Training material including User Manual, Help content and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) are available on the ITR Processing Module Home Page and on ITBA Portal Online Training on ITBA. Users are requested to refer to these documents in case of any difficulty.

4. Users are advised to contact helpdesk in case of any issues in respect of the ITBA.
