As you are all aware, apart from the Companies, the Central Board of Direct taxes has now made e-filing of returns along with digital signatures mandatory also for Firms/HUFs and individuals who are required to get their accounts audited under section 44AB of the Income-tax Act, 1961 from the AY 2011-12. This has increased our responsibility towards our clients who rely upon us for providing these services.

In view of the same, an initiative has been taken by the Direct Taxes Committee of ICAI by providing a handbook on the PROCESS OF E-FILING OF INCOME TAX RETURNS.  This handbook would act as a ready referencer for our members for e-filing the income tax returns. The same can be  downloaded from the link given below which is updated one:-

    I have 0ixed deposit in bank Rs.16 lakhs for daughters marriage, which gives interest about 1.36 lakhs and TDS is also deducted @10%….thus no taxable income.
    I purchased some shares on delivery basis for long tern investment for Rs. 4.5o lakhs….now in 2015 it is worth 2.50 lakhs but income tax dept has served a notice to me…..there is no income from shares but loss of Rs.2 lakhs.
    I am retired for pvt company, no income from any source, we are dependent on son for monthly expenditure.

    Dear Sir,
    I have purchase the shares on 7th June 2010 and sold the same on 13 October 2011 with a loss of Rs . 4500/-. Please guide me where I have to fill this amount of Rs 4500/-(Short term capital loss) in ITR4 AY 2011-12.

    Dear Sir I am a teacher in a public school. My income from gross salary(annual) is Rs. 303488/-. Iam having a house loan of Rs. 100000/(ten lakhs). whose House loan int is Rs. 85741/- and House loan principal paid is Rs. 40175/-. Besides this my deduction for pf is Rs. 9360/-. Pl. help me do I need to file IT return for the year 2011-12. if so please let me know which ITR from should I fill?

    i would like to know which form needs to fill for my case.

    i am a tutor(self employed), give tuition to the kids. So i get the salary from their parents by the way of cash. So there is no tax deduction as well, and my income is 1.5L/year…. i know that i have choice to not to file return but i would like to file for future purpose.

    i do not have any other source of income.

    Unable to download file” process of filing e-return’ It shows as file damaged and can’t be repair.
