CBDT has released Form Sahaj (ITR-4) for A.Y. 2020-21 format for Assessment Year 2020-21 i.e. for Financial year 2019-20 vide Notification No. 01/2020-Income Tax dated 3rd January, 2020

Sahaj (ITR-4) for A.Y. 2020-21 is applicable For Individuals, HUFs and Firms (other than LLP) being a resident having total income upto Rs.50 lakh, one house property (single ownership), having income from business and profession which is computed under sections 44AD, 44ADA or 44AE or Interest Income, Family pension etc. and agricultural income upto Rs.5 thousand]

Sahaj (ITR-1) for A.Y. 2020-21 cannot be filed by an individual who is either Director in a company or has invested in unlisted equity shares or has any brought forward / carry forward loss under the head ‘Income from House Property’

    With the demise of my wife on 1/7/19 the flat in her name has now been transferred in my name.
    I am already a owner of a flat.

    What itr I have to use for filing it returns

    Am a pensioner and have only pension and interest Income of around seven lacs and some funds transfers from my deceased wife’s account.
