CBDT has released Form Sahaj (ITR-1) for A.Y. 2020-21 format for Assessment Year 2020-21 i.e. for Financial year 2019-20 vide Notification No. 01/2020-Income Tax dated 3rd January, 2020

Sahaj (ITR-1) for A.Y. 2020-21 is applicable For individuals being a resident (other than not ordinarily resident) having total income upto Rs.50 lakh, having Income from Salaries, one house property (single ownership), interest income, Family pension income etc. and agricultural income upto Rs.5 thousand.

Sahaj (ITR-1) for A.Y. 2020-21 cannot be filed by an individual who is either Director in a company or has invested in unlisted equity shares or has any brought forward / carry forward loss under the head ‘Income from House Property’ or has to furnish return under seventh proviso to section 139(1) of the Income Tax Act.

    I ama 75 years old indian govt. Pensioner.having only pension income plus little saving in. That is around 10 lac anum.i file the return electronically.in return we have to give the details of form P 16 issued be pension paying banks.p 16 was normal issued by banks by first week of April but to Carina. Problem it has not yet been issued by bank due to which ee are not able to gile the ITR_1 sahaj hence I would like to know te extended date notified by the govt of India.thanks
