NOTIFICATION

MAHARASHTRA VALUE ADDED TAX, 2002.

No. VAT. 1515/C.R. 102/Taxation-1.—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 41 of the Maharashtra Value Added Tax, 2002 (Mah. IX of 2005), the Government of Maharashtra hereby amends the Government Notification, Finance Department, No. VAT 1509/ CR-89/Taxation-1, dated the 5th November 2009, as follows, namely :—

In the Schedule appended to the said notification, in Part-(II)-Other Organisations, in entry 1,—

(a) in column (2), after entry (xliv), the following entry shall be added and shall be deemed to have been added with effect from the 15th September 2015, namely :—

“(xlv) Royal Norwegian Consulate”;

(b) in column (3), in condition (viii), after clause (g), the following clause shall be added and shall be deemed to have been added with effect from the 1st January 2015, namely :—

“(h) In the case of Republic of Turkey.

(i) the refund would be admissible on the official and personal purchases of the following goods only :—

Security equipment, office equipment, electronic and electrical devices, food and non-alcoholic beverages, cleaning supplies, household and gardening equipment, medical equipment (excluding medication), construction materials, printed matter, spare parts for official cars and clothing.

(ii) The minimum invoice value of official and personal purchases shall be Rupees Five Thousand and One Hundred for the refund of tax.

(iii) Refund of tax shall not be admissible on personal purchases exceeding Rupees Fourteen Lakh per annum, per official.”;

(c) in column (3), in condition (viii), after clause (h) as so added, the following clause shall be added and shall be deemed to have been added with effect from the 15th September 2015, namely :—

“(i) In the case of Royal Norwegian Consulate the purchase price of goods purchases for official use of the Consulate and personal use of its diplomats, through a single invoice, shall not be less than Rupees Five Thousand excluding tax.”.
