Sub – Implementation of e- Way Bill for Inter-State movement of goods.
Government of Maharashtra has published Maharashtra Goods and Services Tax (Sixth Amendment) Rules, 2017, by Notification No-25/2017- State Tax, dated 30-08-2017. E- Way Bill will be mandatory in Maharashtra for Inter- State movement of goods w.e.f. 01-02-2018. For Intra- State movement of goods, the date will be notified later. The e-way bill system is currently available for dealers / transporters on a trial basis (during 16-01-2018 to 31-01- 2018).
The URL for the e-Way Bill system for the whole nation is http://ewaybill.nic.in. The same URL will be used for both the trial run and final roll out. However, the e-Way Bills generated up to 31-01-2018 (during trial run) would not be used by the department for any purpose. Hence, the dealers / transporters can register, practice and use the system without any problem. As same system (URL) continues from I st Feb, 2018, the dealers / transporters need not have to register / enroll again. The same registration / enrollment will be used further. It may be also noted that Aadhaar is not mandatory for enrollment of transporters.
In view of the e-Way Bill system getting implemented, all are advised to take note of:
Maharashtra Goods and Service Tax (Sixth Amendment) Rules, 2017, may be perused for better understanding of the e-Way Bill system. In addition, NIC has published User Manual and FAQs on website http://ewaybill.nic.in, which also can be perused fry all concerned, so as to understand the system properly. The following facilities are available tor dealers / transporters in case of queries:
