NOTIFICATION

MAHARASHTRA VALUE ADDED TAX ACT, 2002.

No.VAT.1510/C.R.90/Taxation-1. – In pursuance of the powers conferred by rule 45A of the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Rules, 2005, the Government of Maharashtra hereby specify that, with effect from the 1st October 2010, every registered dealer liable to file quarterly returns, shall make payment electronically of any amount under the Maharashtra Value Added Tax Act, 2002.

    I appreciate the effort taking by the department in reducing paper, but at the same I also request the department pls see the pratical difficulty the dealer has to face, since many banks are still not providing internet bank service for payment of taxes and at the same there are only 4 nationlised bank through which we can pay, this will really create huge problem, the dealer has to open account with these banks only
