Date:- 20-Apr-2021

To,
Honorable Finance Minister,
Govt. of India,
New Delhi.
Respected Madam

Subject : Regarding request to consider the following suggestions for immediate implementation.

Apropos, the Corona Virus pandemic has resurfaced in many parts of the country. Some States like Maharashtra, Rajasthan, etc. have imposed curfew under the CrPC. It is also a demand of some of the States to invoke the National Disaster Management Act and impose total restrictions on the movement of people, so as to arrest the spread of the virus and thereby curb the outbreak.

In the backdrop of this, it has become difficult for the trade and industry to follow certain regular tax compliance, in particular to those related to the GST. In this regard, it is suggested that: –

1. The adherence to Rule 36(4) be kept in abeyance for the months of March to May 2021.

2. The due date to furnish GSTR 3B for March 2021 to May 2021 be extended suitably.

3. A nearest date to conduct a virtual GST Council Meeting be decided at the earliest & informed accordingly.

4. The Due date of Filling I.T.R. of A.Y. 20-21 should be extended as many are left behind due to this pandemic also not able to revise.

We hope that the suggestions contained herein would be taken in their true letter and spirit.

JAI HIND
Thanking you,

Yours
Team AIMTPA

GST is the worst Draconian Indirect Tax in the History of Independent India. We should all oppose the tax and must initiate joint concerted efforts to abolish the tax.

Any citizen above 70 years are not required to pay IT nor require to file any return. Let the govt charge a fixed amount ra.1000.

  3. psrinivasulu says:

The Govt should collect tax due from all classes of people right at source and stop this habit of filing returns by themlater.. How many seniore citizens are able to run around and do this followup exercise which to me appears totally unwarranted. the tax laws arequite complicated and atleast for senior citizens should be saved this agony of running around CA’s with datas of their small savings intersts etc to fle areturn. the govt should not act as a spy on senior citizens income tax afairs and charge them for unintended mistakes creeping in to their returns after submission.

  4. Gaurav says:

Really Fm is not cooperating with the actual masses of India. They are collecting late fines as if they are collecting some GUNDA tax from the common people.. they are not going through the pain a common citizen is facing.. Really I feel there should be NO Govt only.. All are corrupted

  5. Vinayak Joshi says:

I think the Finance Minister himself should realise the situation.I think it’s a common sense when you’re compelling the shop owners to close the shops and offices you should have immediately anounced the postponement of GSTR3B DATE BUT IT SEEMS EITHER THEY ARE SLEEPING OR PRETENDING .

    1. PRAFULLA MANSUK says:

FM is traveling in AC car with huge security. Not concerned about common people.
We are all upset what she did in last year in respect of filing ITR and audit reports.

  6. S R. SWAMI PUDIPEDDI says:
