Notification No. 60/2003-Central Excise (N.T.)

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 37 of the Central Excise Act, 1944  (1 of 1944), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend the Central Excise Valuation (Determination of Price of Excisable Goods) Rules, 2000, namely:-

1. (1)

These rules may be called the Central Excise Valuation (Determination of Price of Excisable Goods) Amendment Rules, 2003.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2.

In the Central Excise Valuation (Determination of Price of Excisable Goods) Rules, 2000, in rule 8, for the words “one hundred and fifteen per cent” the words “one hundred and ten per cent” shall be substituted.

Note: The principal rules were published in the Gazette of India, Extraodinary, Part II, Section3, Sub-Section (i) vide G.S.R. 575 (E), dated 30th June, 2000, {notification No.45/2000-Central Excise(N.T.) dated the 30th June, 2000}, were subsequently amended vide G.S.R. 151(E), dated the 1st March, 2003 [Notification No.11/2003-Central Excise (NT) dated the 1st March, 2003].
