PUBLIC NOTICE NO.180/(RE:2008)/2004-2009

NEW DELHI : DATED : 14.05.2009

In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09 and Paragraph 1.1 of Handbook of Procedures (Vol.1), the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following additions in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2004-2009, as amended from time to time.

2. In the statement of Standard Input Output Norms (SION) as contained in the Handbook of Procedures (Vol.2), 2004-2009, as amended from time to time, additions/corrections at appropriate places as mentioned in ANNEXURE “A” to this Public Notice are made.

This issues in public interest.

AMENDMENTS/CORRECTIONS

Note: 1 “It may be noted that a cotton bale would be packed either in grey cotton fabrics or in plastic woven fabrics, but never in both. Hence, import quantity at Sr.No.1 and Sr. No.2 to be computed taking into account the quantity of export product packed in grey cotton fabrics (for import item No.1) or quantity of export product packed in plastic woven fabrics (for import item No.2)”.

Note: 2 “It may be noted that a cotton bale would be strapped either in Steel Coil or in PVC Strap, but not in both. Hence, import quantity at Sr. No.3 and /Or Sr. No.4 to be computed taking into account the quantity of export product strapped using Mild Steel Coil (Width ½” – ¾”) and/or quantity of export product in PVC straps (for import item No.4).”
