The Public Notice No. 61 (RE-03)/2002-2007, dated 03.02.2003, issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), details amendments, deletions, and additions to the Standard Input Output Norms (SION) as per the Handbook of Procedures for the 2002-2007 period. The changes span multiple sectors, including chemicals, electronics, engineering, and plastic products. Notably, new entries are added in the chemicals and allied products section, electronics products, and engineering products, with specific quantities for raw materials required for production. Additionally, corrections and updates are made to existing entries in the chemical and engineering product categories, adjusting quantities or adding new materials. Some norms have specific expiry dates, such as those in chemicals, which are valid until 31.03.2003. These updates aim to ensure that import norms align with export product requirements and facilitate smoother trade processes. The notice is issued in public interest, providing guidance to exporters and importers for compliance with the revised norms.

Attention is invited to Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007, as amended and Paragraphs 4.9 and 4.10 of the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.1, 2002-2007, as amended and also to the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended from time to time.
2. In exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 2.4 of the Export and Import Policy 2002-2007, as amended, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments/deletions/corrections and additions in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended.
3. In the statement of Standard Input Output Norms as contained in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.2, 2002-2007, as amended, amendments/ corrections/ deletion at appropriate places as mentioned in Annexure “A” to this Public Notice shall be made.
4. In the statement of Standard Input Output Norms, following additions shall be made at appropriate places as mentioned below:-
CHEMICALS AND ALLIED PRODUCTS
After the existing entry at Sr.No.A-3133, new entries at Sr. No. A-3134 to A-3140 shall be added as per Annexure ”B” to this Public Notice.
ELECTRONIC PRODUCTS
