Public Notice No. 39 (RE-2001)/1997-2002, Dated: 01.10.2001

Public Notice No. 39 (RE-2001)/1997-2002, dated 1st October 2001, announces the extension of the export deadline for specified quantities of coarse grains (including barley, maize, bajra, ragi, and jowar) and maize, which were allowed for export under earlier public notices. These exports, initially extended until 30th September 2001, now have their shipment deadline extended to 31st October 2001. This decision is made in exercise of powers under the Export and Import Policy, 1997-2002, ensuring continued opportunities for exporters. The amendment is issued in public interest to facilitate the completion of exports within the new timeline.

PUBLIC NOTICE NO.  39( RE-2001 ) / 1997-2002

NEW DELHI , THE  1st October, 2001.

Attention is invited to the entry at Code No. 1001(b)  in  Table B of Schedule 2     and Sr. No. 12(ii)  of Appendix –1 to Schedule 2 in the  book titled  “ ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002 ” (incorporating amendments made upto 31^st August, 1998) and  as amended from time to time  specifying the terms and conditions for export of items indicated therein.

2. A specified quantity of Coarse grain ( grain and flour of Barley, Maize, Bajra, Ragi and Jowar excluding Hybrid Jowar  grown as kharif crop ),  and  Maize was allowed for export by Director General of Foreign Trade under Public Notices  No. 48( RE-2000)/1997-2002 dated 15.12.2000 , Public Notice No. 61( RE-2000)/1997-2002 dated 13.3.2001 and  Public Notice No. 64( RE-2000)/1997-2002 dated 16.3.2001. The last date of  shipment of export of above items was extended upto 30.09.2001 vide Public Notice No. 32( RE-2001 )/1997-2002 dated 02.08.2001.

3. Further, in exercise of the powers conferred under Paragraph 4.11 of the Export & Import Policy, 1997-2002, (incorporating amendments made upto 31^st March, 2001) and as amended from time to time, the last date of shipment/export of the quantities of  coarse grain/maize  allowed for export vide the above Public Notices  is extended  upto  31.10.2001.
