Subject:  Vishesh Krishi Upaj Yojana benefits for export of Sesamum Seeds as per Entry No. 08.526 in Appendix 37A.

  Attention is invited to Public Notice No 50(RE 2005)/2004-2009 dated 14.09.2005 vide which export of Sesamum Seeds i.e. Sesamum Indicum (Sesamum, TIL) was excluded for benefits under the Scheme. Vishesh Krishi Upaj Yojana benefits would not be admissible against the export of Sesamum Seeds, i.e. ‘SESAMUM INDICUM, DC (SESAMUM, TIL)’ as per Entry No. 08.526 of Appendix 37A.

2. Representations have been received requesting to consider grant of Vishesh Krishi Upaj Yojana benefits in the intervening period on from 01.04.2004 till 13.09.2005 as the export product was listed in Appendix 37A for the first time vide Public Notice No 47(RE2005)/2004-09 dated 04.09.2005 and was deleted from the said appendix only on 14.09.2005.

3. After giving due consideration to the representations of the exporting community, it has been decided that export of Sesamum Seeds (covered under ITC HS Code 120740 at 6 digit level and ITC HS Codes 12074010 / 12074090 at 8 digit level), i.e. Sesamum Indicum (Sesamum, TIL) as per Entry No 08.526 shall be entitled for Vishesh Krishi Upaj Yojana benefits in respect of such exports made between 1.9.2004 and 13.09.2005 only.

This issues with the approval of the DGFT.
