On July 3, 2000, the Government of India issued Notification No. 22 (RE-2000)/1997-2000, making amendments to the ITC(HS) Classification of Export and Import Items, 1997-2002. The notification extends the deadline for onion exports, specifically for all varieties other than Bangalore Rose and Krishnapuram Rose onions. The amendment relates to the export shipment deadline, previously mentioned in earlier notifications (No. 11, No. 16, and No. 17). For No Objection Certificates (NOCs) issued in May 2000, the last date for shipment is now extended to July 31, 2000. This extension ensures exporters have additional time for shipment and is issued in the public interest.
