Subject: Implementation of Notification No.51/2015-2020 dated 25th January, 2022 during FY 2024-25.
Reference is invited to Notification No. 51/2015-2020 dated 25th January, 2022 amending the export policy of Human Hair, unworked, whether or not washed or scoured; waste of human hair under S.No.38 B, HS Code 0501, of Chapter 05 of Schedule – 2 of the ITC (HS) Export Policy from ‘Free’ to ‘Restricted’.
2. With a view to streamline the procedure for issuance of Authorization for export of human hair during 2024-25, subject to Minimum Export Price (MEP) of USD 55000/MT, it has been decided to invite applications from exporters. The procedure to apply for the export authorization is outlined below:
i. Export of human hair under HS Code 0501 of Chapter 05 of ITC (HS), 2018, Schedule —II (Export Policy) will be allowed for the period from 1st April, 2024 to 31st March, 2025, for the year 2024-25.
ii. Exporters can apply online through DGFT’s ECOM system for Export Authorizations (Non-SCOMET Restricted Items) (Please refer Trade Notice No.03/2021-22 dated 10.05.2021. There is no need to send hard copy of the application via mail or post).
iii. Online applications for export of human hair under HS Code 0501 filed from 16.02.2024 to 29.02.2024 will only be considered.
iv. All the applications will be examined as per the Para 72 of Handbook of Procedure, 2023.
v. Only 1 application per IEC will be considered during this period.
3. DGFT reserves the right to decide or alter the modalities of distribution and allocation as per applications received.
4. Deficient applications, applications received through e-mails or by post or received beyond the specified timeline will not be considered.
