Introduction:

The Express Cargo Clearance System (ECCS) is an innovative application designed to automate clearances in express mode, aligning with the Courier Imports and Exports (Electronic Declaration and Processing) Regulations, 2010.

ECCS Overview:

Effortless Express Clearances: Launched in 2017, ECCS automates Customs clearances for express cargo, reducing operational costs and ensuring swift global movements. Developed by the Express Industry Council of India (EICI), it is now hosted in CBIC Data Centre.

  • ECCS enables automated clearances in the express mode under the Courier Imports and Exports (Electronic Declaration and Processing) Regulations, 2010.
  • Usage of bar-code scanners for precise consignment accounting.
  • Real-time tracking of consignment status and data transmission status.
  • Currently operational at nine ICT locations: Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Cochin, Chennai, Jaipur, Kolkata, Hyderabad and plans to be rolled out at other locations shortly.
  • ECCS processes approximately 35,000 export consignments and 10,000 import consignments per day.

  • State-of-the-art ECCS built on advanced technology products for faster clearance, enhanced compliance, and robust data security.

Effortless Document Submission:

  • Authorized Couriers file CBE/CSB through UI/Bulk upload via internet in ECCS, ensuring a smooth workflow. A list of registered couriers engaged in the business of customs clearance in course of door-to-door delivery and using the ECCS facilities at the courier terminals of Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Cochin, Jaipur, Kolkata has been provided for the convenience of importers/exporters at ECCS Website.
