The LLP Act also provides that a Foreign Limited Liability Partnership can also establish a place of business in India.A careful study of the LLP Act will reveal that an LLP enjoys the beneficial features of incorporated bodies without having the disadvantages of normal partnerships. Upholding the Central Information Commission (CIC) order that office of the Chief Justice of India (CJI) is well within the ambit of the Right to Information (RTI) Act, the Delhi High Court Wednesday ruled that judges should declare their assets. In a historical judgement, Justice S. Ravindra Bhat said judges are accountable but they are also subject to some constraints.

Limited liability partnerships (LLPs) have been the flavour of corporate jurists all over the world in the past 15 years. The concept looked attractive. India passed the Limited Liability Partnership Act in 2008, providing the legal framework for the formation of LLPs. The Act came into force on April 1, 2009. The tax aspect has been sorted out by Finance Bill, 2009. LLPs will be taxed in the same way as ordinary partnership firms.
