DATA ON AML/CFT GUIDELINES

CIRCULAR NO. IRDA/SDD//GDL/CIR/79/04/2013, DATED 22-4-2013

Insurance Sector has entered into the seventh year of effective AML/CFT regime. At this juncture, there is a felt need to capture certain information on AML/CFT matters on a regular basis.

Accordingly, data considered relevant from the perspective of AML/CFT guidelines, as per the prescribed forms shall be submitted to the Authority on a quarterly basis:

♦ Form 1: Details of Compliance Officer for AML/CFT guidelines

♦ Form 2: Data to be submitted by Life Insurance Companies

♦ Form 3: Data to be submitted by General Insurance Companies

The timelines for submission of data is as under:

1. Form 1 and 2 shall be furnished by Life Insurance Companies within 15 days of the end of every Quarter

2. Form 1 and 3 are to be furnished by General Insurance Companies within 15 days of the end of every Quarter

Soft copy of the data shall be mailed to [email protected] and [email protected]; the hard copy of the same duly signed by the Principal Compliance Officer for AML/CFT guidelines shall be sent separately.

The circular is effective from the quarter ending 30th June 2013.
