FOOD SAFETY AND STANDARDS AUTHORITY OF INDIA
NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 23rd March, 2023

No. GA-18012/2/2022-Gr.Admin-FSSAI.—Whereas the draft of certain regulations, further to amend the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (Transaction of Business at its meetings) Regulations, 2010, was published as required under sub-section (1) of section 92 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006) vide notification of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India number F. No. GA-18012/2/2022-Gr.Admin-FSSAI, dated the 13th September, 2022 in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, section 4, inviting objections or suggestions from the persons likely to be affected thereby, before the expiry of a period of sixty days from the date on which the copies of the Official Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public;

And whereas the copies of the said Official Gazette were made available to the public on the 20thSeptember, 2022;

And whereas no objections and suggestions have been received from the public in respect of the said draft regulations;

Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (f) of sub-section (2) of section 92 read with sub-section (1) of Section 17 of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (34 of 2006), the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India hereby makes the following regulations further to amend the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (Transaction of Business at its meetings) Regulations, 2010, namely: –

1. (1) These regulations may be called the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (Transaction of Business at its meetings) Amendment Regulations, 2023.

(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.

2. In the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (Transaction of Business at its meetings) Regulations, 2010, in regulation 16, for the words “sitting fee of rupees four thousand”, the words “sitting fee of seven thousand and five hundred rupees” shall be substituted.

Note : The principal regulations were published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part III, section 4 vide notification number F. No. 1-61/FSSA/2009-DFQC, dated 4th March, 2011 and subsequently amended vide notification number F.No. F1-61/FSSAI/Tr. Business/Reg/2015, dated the 16th August, 2016.
