MCA notified the extension of Condonation of Delay Scheme (CODS), 2018 vide General Circular No 02/2018 Dated 28/03/2018 till 30th April 2018.

Earlier the Scheme was valid till 31st March 2018 but due to requests of various stake-holders ministry decided to extend the validity of the Scheme until 30th April 2018 (1-month extension).

The benefit of the Extension: The said extension will benefit various stakeholders who were affected by Strike-off of Companies and Disqualification of Directors.

Directors of Strike-off companies can now file WRIT Petition to the High Court till 30th April 2018 seeking removal of so that they can get an order to avail the CODS, 2018 and do pending fillings, make the default good and activate their DIN permanently.

Directors of Active Companies can file their pending documents until 30th April 2018 along with pending fee so that their DIN can be activated permanently.

Note: Directors of Strike-off Companies can also file strike-off application physically to the ROC along with other pending documents if they do not wish to continue the company & want to take sue-motto exit with activation of their DIN permanently.

We should be thankful to the Ministry for giving us some more time to take feasible decision & extension of the CODS, 2018 will benefit the businessman definitely.
