Extension of time for furnishing comments for consideration of High Level Committee on corporate on corporate social responsibility-2018

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has constituted a High Level Committee on Corporate Social Responsibility-2018 (HLC-2018) to review the existing framework and guide and formulate a coherent policy on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

2. Comments/suggestions are invited on the provisions of CSR in the Companies Act 2013 Companies (CSR Policy) Rules, 2014 and Circulars issued concerning CSR.

3. All stakeholders are requested to furnish comments/suggestions through mails only on the following e-mail id:

4. The time period for receiving comments has been extended.

Section 135 (1)

 

 

 

Every company having net worth of rupees five hundred crore or more, or turnover of rupees one thousand crore or more or a net profit of rupees five crore or more during immediately preceding financial year shall constitute a Corporate Social Responsibility Committee of the Board consisting of three or more directors, out of which at least one director shall be an in dependent director.

Provided that where a company is not required to appoint an independent director under sub-section (4) of section 149, it shall have
