The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) issued a notification on September 5, 2024, regarding the formation of a panel for enforcing the Election Code of Conduct in the upcoming Council and Regional Council elections. (Dr.) Jai Kumar Batra, who serves as the Returning Officer and Secretary of ICAI. Supporting him are Shri Tharvinder Singh, Deputy Secretary of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, and Shri Shailendra Mohan Pathak, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. The panel will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Election Code of Conduct during the 2024 elections.
