ICSI UDIN SPECIAL AMNESTY SCHEME, 2023
Dear Professional Colleague,
The Institute has issued the ICSI Unique Document Identification Number (UDIN) Guidelines, 2019, to enable the stakeholders to verify the authenticity of various documents certified by Company Secretaries in Practice and to prevent counterfeiting of various attestations/certifications.
As you are aware, the online services at the UDIN portal of the Institute were impacted recently due to critical maintenance activity and the functionalities w.r.t generation and revocation of UDIN members were not available to Members leading to non-compliance w.r.t. the UDIN Guidelines. The Institute vide mail dated June 21, 2023 provided a relaxation allowing Members to ensure continuity of their services without generation of UDIN. The relaxation was effective from June 15, 2023 till June 25, 2023 or the date of restoration of services, whichever is earlier.
Considering this, the Institute has decided to launch the UDIN Amnesty Scheme, 2023 effective from July 21, 2023 to July 31, 2023 with a view to facilitate the Members.
All active UDINs generated or to be generated from April 16, 2023 till July 31, 2023 shall be eligible for the purpose of this Scheme.
The members who have signed Reports/Certificates/Documents without generation of UDIN during the relaxation period (15th June to 23rd June, 2023) or have generated/ revoked UDIN during this period are advised to check their status and avail the benefits of the UDIN Amnesty Scheme, 2023.
