The licensing authority may also issue Advance licences, where SION are not fixed, based on self declaration and an undertaking by the applicant for a final adjustment as per Adhoc/SION fixed by ALC. However, no Advance Licence for import of horn, hoof and other organ of animal, pepper or the categories of agricultural items listed below or for any item for which DGFT may so notify, shall be issued under paragraph 4.7 by the licensing authority.
Attention is invited to Para 3.2 of Handbook of Procedures Vol.I 2004-09, wherein the last date for filing of application for grant of Star Status Certificate has been prescribed as 1st of March. A number of representations have been received in Hqrs as well as by Regional Licensing Authorities requesting for extending the last date for submission of such applications for obtaining the Status Certificate for the period 2004-05.
This entry is valid for 6 months w.e.f date of issue of this Public Notice or the date of withdrawal of DEPB scheme (in case the scheme is withdrawn), whichever is earlier. Further the entry is valid for the exports effected by M/s. Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., Mumbai only.
NOTIFICATION NO. 30 (RE-2004)/2004-2009 Central Government hereby makes the following amendments in the Notification No.21/( 2004-2009) dated 10.2.2005 :-
Attention is invited to Para 3.2.6 A-IV of Handbook of Procedures Vol.I (2002-07 as amended up to 28th of January 2004), wherein the last date for filing of application for Duty Free Credit Entitlement Certificate for Status Holder for the period 2003-04 was mentioned as 31st December 2004. Vide Policy Circular No.12/2004-09 dt.28.12.2004 the last date for submission of such applications was further extended till 31st March 2005.
An exporter desiring to obtain a Registration-cum-Membership Certificate (RCMC) shall declare his main line of business in the application, which shall be made to the Export Promotion Council (EPC) relating to that line of business. However, a status holder has the option to obtain RCMC from Federation of Indian Exporters Organization (FIEO).
Attention is invited to Sl. No. 44 of Chapter 7 of Schedule – 2 of the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import items 2004-09 wherein the Export Policy and the conditions thereof for export of Onion has been stipulated. This office has received a representation seeking clarification whether the provisions of Export Instruction No. 3/92 dated 1.4.1992 is still valid for Export of Onions.
Attention is invited to Public Notice No.12/2004-09 dated 4.10.2004 whereby the annual quota of 100,000MTs of Vegetable Fats (Vanaspati) for thefinancial year 2004-2005 from Nepal was permitted for import from 6.12.2004 to 5.3.2005. It has now been decided to extend the validity period for TRQ vanaspati imports from Nepal into India in respect of the current financial year 2004-05 upto 5.6.2005.
A similar matter was considered by the PRC during its meeting held on 14-01-05. On the basis of the decision taken therein, it is here by clarified that in case of E-Commerce application, the date on which E-Commerce application is submitted and E-Commerce file number is generated would be considered as the date of filing of application. However the hard copy of the application must be submitted to the concerned RLA within 15 days of filing E-Commerce application. Suitable amendment would also be carried out in the Handbook of Procedures, Vol.l.
In exercise of powers conferred under paragraph 2.4 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2004-09, the Director General of Foreign Trade hereby makes the following amendments in the Appendix 28 of the Handbook of Procedures.
