The Government of India, through Public Notice No. 59/2004-09 dated March 9, 2005, announced amendments to Appendix-28 of the Handbook of Procedures (Vol. I) under the Foreign Trade Policy (2004-09). The notice incorporates 30 new entities across multiple countries into the list of approved testing services for quality assurance and standards verification. These entities include Intertek Testing Services in locations such as Argentina, Japan, Saudi Arabia, and India, among others. Additionally, corrections have been made to entries for Bureau Veritas in Mumbai and Superintendence Company of India in Kolkata. The updates aim to streamline the verification process for foreign trade compliance. Issued by the Director General of Foreign Trade, these changes address procedural requirements under the trade policy framework.
